In Town Hotel

a documentry on a beautiful hotel

home            neighbors

I love going down town to visit the buildings. There is alot of hotels and business that are closed. I cam across this closed hotel called In Town Hotel when I was going to go eat at the Pantry in the beginning of August 2004. This building may or may not be for sale. I do not know the background or current status other then what you see on these picures.  I am merely documenting the interest I have in buildings like this.

The Green and White sighn welcoming visitors to the hotel.  This sign lights up at night.

Here is the driveway entrance from Figuero St. There is a large parking lot and lobby you can see from all sides.  It is all empty right now.  It has a really nice 1950 modern feeling to it.

Once you drive in and park you car this is the view you have inside the hotel lot.  I love the palm trees it really gives you a Palm Springs feeling in the middle of downtown Los Angeles.  When you have sleek 1950 or 1960 lines of architecture it grows great with tall angular palm trees.  It really remind you you are in sunny California

In the middle of the palm trees is this lovely pool.  I wish there was still water in it. What a nice way to spend a day. You cna look up from your chair sun bathing and see the tall palm trees.

Here is a view you see right when you drive in to the convienent lot.  You know you are in a nice place right away, what a good sales thing.
